The US is embroiled in an ongoing trade war with China. This has led to both countries declaring goods imported from the other unsafe. The US has struck a blow by requiring chinese goods to undergo more stringent testing than they had in the past. This has identified some products that may or may not be unsafe. The bottom line is that parents should attempt to keep their kids from chewing on anything that is not intended as a food source.
